A completely new version of the Festival’s yearly celebration of the lives and inspiration of six of San Diego’s most incredible Jewish women. With music, visuals, and a world premiere script, “Women of Valor” is a staged reading that will touch the heart with laughter, drama, and inspiration. This year’s women include: Evelyn Rady, Jill Spitzer, Marsha Berkson, Sura Leider, Ruth Sax, and Dr. Ellen Beck.

Proceeds benefit Chesed Home, Torah High School and Project Sarah.

24th Annual Lipinsky San Diego Jewish Arts Festival

The 24th annual Lipinsky San Diego Jewish Arts Festival includes a slate of twelve performance in theater, dance, music, film, and fine arts at four different San Diego and North County venues. This year’s festival features a more broad celebration of San Diego’s diverse performing arts community. Highlighting the festival will be: a sneak peek at a Hershey Felder work in progress, “The Stories of Sholem Aleichem;” a celebration of Andrew Viterbi’s  new memoir, “Andrew Viterbi: Reflections of an Educator, Researcher and Entrepreneur” (directed by Ali Viterbi); “Minor Fall, Major Lift,” a brand new evening of dance from Malashock Dance; and The 8th Annual “Woman of Valor” (co-written and directed by Ali Viterbi).

This year’s women include: Rabbi Arlene Bernstein, Lucy Goldman, Lynn Schenk, Elisheva Green, Cecile Jordan, and a special tribute to Golda Meir.
