A troupe of actors determined to deliver Shakespeare’s Othello must reckon with their own demons and those of the world in which they live, in order to discover where the Green Eyed Monster resides.

Ali just returned home from an incredible week at the 23rd annual Last Frontier Theatre Conference in Valdez, Alaska. Her play Quick, Change was accepted into the 2015 Play Lab and performed as a staged reading on Tuesday, June 16. Her mentors included playwright Eric Coble, actor Elizabeth Ware, and designer Colleen Alexis Metger. She is very grateful to Dawson Moore and the Conference for the truly unforgettable experience and opportunity to workshop her play.

A completely new version of the Festival’s yearly celebration of the lives and inspiration of five of San Diego’s most incredible Jewish women. With music, visuals, and a world premiere script, “Women of Valor” is a staged reading that will touch the heart with laughter, drama, and inspiration. This year’s women include: Helene Bortz, Pam Ferris, Helene Schlafman, Fern Siegel, Gussie Zaks, and San Diego Police Chief Shelley Zimmerman.

Proceeds benefit Chesed Home, San Diego Gift Closet, Torah High School and Project Sarah.
